Q Super Centre Optometrist established in 1993 is a locally owned and run independent Optometrist located in the Q Super Centre at Mermaid Waters the practice services people throughout the Gold Coast particularly the local area of Mermaid and Robina. The bulk billing practice provides a wide scope of optometric examinations/services and supplies including general eye examinations for spectacles and contact lenses along with diagnostic examinations to identify the presence of eye disorders / disease such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataract, diabetic eye disease just to name a few. We pride ourselves in giving honest, intelligent and diligent eyecare to ensure patient satisfaction.
Our Services
Eye Tests
Eye examinations are all bulk billed to Medicare. Routine eye examinations are performed on both adults and children to confirm or exclude any vision problems or eye disorders and diseases which may be present.
Prescription Glasses

Referrals to Opthalmologists & GPs
Eye examinations at times uncover findings which require on-referral to other health professionals such as ophthalmologists (eye specialists) and general practitioners for specialist care/treatment. Referrals to these other health professionals are provided at this practice, following an examination/consultation with the optometrist.
FREE Adjustments to Your Glasses
With use Your glasses may need adjustment to ensure maximum comfort. Q Super Centre Optometrist will make those adjustments at No Charge.

Richard Tomkinson
Optometrist
Richard (B App Sci Optometry) completed an honours degree in Biochemistry in 1992 at QUT before his Optometry degree in 1996. He commenced working at Tweed City Optical that year before transferring full time to Q Super Centre Optometrist as owner and optometrist in 2000. After 19 years at the current location he believes in always putting the patients welfare first. Reg. OPT0001399717
Jane Norvill
Optical Receptionist/Assistant
Jane joined our team in 2013. A born and bred Gold Coaster, she previously owned and ran a sunglass shop in Coolangatta for 5 years. Jane is usually your first contact when visiting our practice and she is responsible for patient care and service, all front reception and assisting Richard with some of the optometric tasks.
